Hours of work

37.5 hours per week (hours of work will be flexible and dictated by the needs of the business, therefore it is expected that the successful applicant will work those hours necessary to successfully discharge the duties of the role).

The Role


Reporting to the Learning and Development Manager and working in partnership with Team Managers to create new, impactful learning workshops/solutions as required by the business and deliver these alongside existing learning material.

Key Outputs

Work with the L&D Manager and Managers to:

  • Identify training and development needs of individuals and implement appropriate learning solutions
  • Create bespoke training / learning solutions to meet the changing needs of the business and our colleagues
  • Deliver the existing suite of learning materials
  • Provide developmental feedback
  • Input to individuals’ training and development plans based on training needs identified
  • Weekly feedback to L&D Manager and Team Managers on development and training conducted and progress of individuals
  • Maintain record of all training activities carried out
  • Other ad-hoc duties as and when required by the L&D Manager and wider business
  • Ensure that own skills and product knowledge, policy and procedures are maintained in order to support all colleagues as a source of technical support and knowhow
  • Ensure that the TCF outcomes are embedded within all activities as a matter of course
  • Other ad-hoc duties as and when required by the L&D Manager and wider business

The Person


Approachable, organised individual with a proven ability to embrace and develop a culture of colleague improvement and personal development that underpins a successful environment where the customer is key.

An excellent communicator and motivator with the ability to interact at all levels and adapt coaching delivery to suit needs of the audience.

Skills & Experience


  • Minimum of 2 years recent experience in soft skills coaching and training
  • Proven ability to mentor and coach individuals on technical skills
  • Confident and competent in delivery of workshops / learning solutions to groups of all levels across the business


  • Background of training in mortgage and mortgage related products.
  • Experience in creating bespoke learning packages



  • Grade C or higher in Maths & English GCSE or equivalent
